What this site collects
begi.dev keeps its own visit statistics. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics, Facebook, or any advertising network. The only external services involved are Vercel (hosting), Supabase (the database where projects, reviews and statistics live), YouTube (embedded clips) and Discord (login for reviews and estimates).
Analytics, only if you say yes
When you first visit, a small notice asks whether the site may keep statistics. If you say no, the site still counts the page view (page, country, device type, time on page) but keeps no id anywhere, so two visits from you cannot be linked and nothing is written to your device. If you say yes, the browser keeps a random visitor id in local storage and a random session id for the current visit. Neither is tied to your name, email or Discord account. What gets recorded: the pages you open, how long you stay, how far you scroll, which buttons you click, your country (from your connection, not your exact location), screen size, browser family and language, plus page speed measurements and any script error the page throws. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is not stored. You can change your answer at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Discord login
Leaving a review or sending an estimate request asks you to sign in with Discord. Discord tells this site your user id, username, display name and profile picture. Reviews are shown publicly with your username and picture. Estimate requests are sent to Begi privately and are not shown anywhere. Sign-in sessions are kept by Supabase in your browser until you log out.
Cookies and storage
The site uses local storage, not tracking cookies. Stored keys: your analytics answer, the random visitor id if you said yes, the Discord session if you signed in. No third-party cookies are set by this site. Embedded YouTube players and the Discord login page set their own; their policies apply there.
Who can see the data
Only Begi. Statistics are viewed on a private admin page that requires his Discord login. Data is stored on Supabase servers in the EU. Nothing is sold, shared or handed to anyone else.
Your rights
Ask and your review, estimate requests or analytics records get deleted. Message @begi.dll on Discord or use the order server. Requests are handled within a few days.
